When you take out a mortgage, your lender usually insists on buildings insurance to protect the structure of the property. But, with our product you get more than just a requirement, as we can help with things like finding alternative accommodation for your tenants if damage to your property leaves it unfit to live in.
Our Buildings and Contents Insurance protects fixtures and fittings as well as household items such as curtains, blinds, carpets and kitchen goods. Plus, we replace items on a new for old basis where they can’t be economically repaired.
Malicious Damage
Malicious damage or vandalism is damage intentionally caused by tenants to the buildings or contents in the insured property. This includes damage, such as: smashing windows, graffiti, deliberately breaking furniture, and making large holes in walls or ceilings.
Malicious damage caused by tenants is covered up to 1 million for buildings and up to content sum insured for contents.
Accidental Damage
Accidental damage visible damage which happens suddenly and has not been caused on purpose or inevitably. This includes damage to the buildings including fixtures, fittings, any part of the structure or to contents of the house.
Accidental Damage is an optional extension that can be added to the buildings section to provide cover against visible damage which happens suddenly and has not been caused on purpose or inevitably, as well as the contents section to protect from accidental damage to the insured items within the property.

Landlord’s Emergency
Landlord's emergency extra covers provides a 24-hour service with access to approved tradesmen to resolve a range of emergencies. For example, it can help if the tenants found themselves completely locked out of the property, or after a complete failure of the heating or electrics in the property.
Alternative accommodation for tenants
As a part of the Landlord’s Emergency optional extra, in the event that your property becomes uninhabitable for more than 48 hours as a result of an emergency covered by this section we will pay up to £250 (including VAT) for the cost of suitable alternative accommodation for your tenants.

Trace and access refers to removing and replacing any part of the buildings to find and repair the source of any water or oil escaping from tanks, pipes, equipment or fixed heating system in the buildings.
